Cassie Campbell

Former Captain of the Canadian Women's Hockey Team

 

Cassie Campbell-Pascall is the only Canadian captain, male or female, to captain two Olympic Gold Medal winning teams. She won 21 international medals including 17 gold while playing hockey for Team Canada. The Order of Canada recipient also became the first female to do colour commentary on Hockey Night in Canada after her playing career ended. She was the first female recipient of the Order of Hockey in Canada and was inducted alongside Jean Beliveau, Wayne Gretzky and Gordie Howe.

Cassie if going into her 12th season with Hockey Night in Canada and has had other broadcasting experience with TSN and CBC. Cassie is the National Ambassador for Ronald McDonald House Canada and works for Scotiabank as a teammate. Her other charity work includes World Vision, Canada's Sports Hall of Fame "Inspire Canada" events and is currently the Governor of the Canadian Women's Hockey League.

Cassie has several Honorary Doctorates including the University of Guelph and UBC among many others. She is a proud mom and her husband is the Assistant General Manager of the Calgary Flames.
