Chief Administrative Officer at Loblaws
Sarah Davis was appointed Chief Administrative Officer of Loblaw Companies Limited on July 17, 2014 and is responsible for Strategy, Supply Chain, IT, Human Resources, Real Estate, Business Processes and the Procurement of Goods Not For Resale.
Prior to her current role, Sarah served as Chief Financial Officer of Loblaw Companies Limited from May 5, 2010. Loblaw Companies Limited is Canada's food and pharmacy leader, the nation's largest retailer, and the majority unitholder of Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust. Loblaw provides Canadians with grocery, pharmacy, health and beauty, apparel, general merchandise, banking, and wireless mobile products and services. With more than 2,300 corporate, franchised and Associate-owned locations, Loblaw, its franchisees, and Associate-owners employ approximately 192,000 full and part-time employees, making it one of Canada's largest private sector employers.
Sarah joined Loblaw in 2007 as Senior Vice President of Financial Operations. Prior to joining Loblaw, she spent her career in the telecommunications industry in senior finance positions at Bell Canada and Rogers Communications. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Honours degree from Queen's University and is a Chartered Accountant.
In support of the company's diversity and inclusion initiatives, Sarah chairs the Women@Loblaw network, a career development and networking program for the company's female leaders. She is also active in the President's Choice Children's Charity.
Sarah currently sits on the Board of Directors for PC Bank, AGF Investments and T & T Supermarkets.
In 2011, Sarah was named one of Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 by the Women's Executive Network.
Outside of Loblaw, Sarah spends most of her time with her husband Gary and three daughters Julia, Madeline and Christine.
